Quick Overview
Job Description
Medix is seeking a hands-on Salesforce Field Service (SFS) Apex Engineer to support the replatforming of a complex home healthcare scheduling environment. This individual will customize SFS to account for continuity-of-care requirements by extending its scheduling and route-optimization capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop pure Apex classes and custom wrappers around SFS scheduling and optimization APIs.
- Extend SFS scheduling logic beyond standard, out-of-the-box functionality.
- Build custom formulas and flows supporting complex scheduling requirements.
- Deploy Salesforce code and metadata through Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership during interactive technical working sessions.
- Evaluate scheduling decisions based on business considerations such as provider continuity, travel time, and patient visit time.
Required Qualifications
- Deep Salesforce Field Service development experience, particularly with scheduling and routing.
- Direct experience using SFS scheduling and optimization APIs.
- Hands-on experience writing Apex classes that extend the SFS scheduling engine.
- Strong experience with custom Salesforce formulas and flows.
- Experience deploying through Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar pipelines.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and product-engineering skills.
Nice to Have
- Home healthcare or complex field-service implementation experience.
- Exposure to Python, Databricks, Azure, or API integrations.
Important: General Salesforce development, standard SFS configuration, or general Apex experience alone will not be sufficient. Direct experience customizing the SFS scheduling engine through APIs and Apex is required. Salesforce Health Cloud experience is not required.
