Location: Chicago, Illinois

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the selection and implementation of a new enterprise trading platform. This individual will serve as the primary project manager responsible for driving the initiative from the current RFP/vendor evaluation phase through full implementation and integration into the organization's technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of an enterprise trading platform.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive, integrated project plan using tools like Microsoft Project.
• Drive both business and technology workstreams simultaneously.
• Partner with business leaders, traders, technology teams, vendors, and executives.
• Navigate the vendor selection process, which is currently at the RFP stage.
• Coordinate the integration of the new platform into existing company systems.
• Develop the project charter, business case support, and a detailed implementation roadmap.
• Manage all project-related risks, issues, dependencies, and governance.
• Work with Business Analysts to define requirements and coordinate estimates from technology teams.
• Drive executive-level reporting and manage stakeholder communications across multiple audiences.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an individual who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing executive-level communication with hands-on project execution.

Technical Experience: Candidates must have a solid understanding of enterprise software implementations, system integrations, APIs, production deployment, SDLC, enterprise architecture concepts, and infrastructure dependencies. While not required to be an engineer, the candidate must be technical enough to challenge engineering teams and understand implementation sequencing.

Business Experience: A strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, trading platforms, investment systems, portfolio management, or Front Office trading environments. Experience with trading platforms is considered more valuable than prior experience within this specific organization.
