Java Developer - Remote

Job Title: Java Developer Rate: £475 - £525 per day inside ir35 Location: Remote Contract: 6 months rolling SC Cleared We're looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a remote development team working on a Home Office project, building and enhancing secure, scalable Java applications and services.

You'll work across Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices, contributing to the full development lifecycle from design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation. Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot is essential, alongside solid SQL/database knowledge and experience working with Git, Maven or Gradle.

Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD would be highly advantageous.

What you'll be doing Design, develop, test and deploy Java applications and services<br />Build and enhance Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Spring Data solutions<br />Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices<br />Work with relational databases and SQL<br />Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues<br />Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards<br />Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability<br />Collaborate with architects, product teams and fellow developers<br />Contribute to continuous improvement across development processes and tooling What we're looking for Strong commercial experience with Java / Java SE / Java EE<br />Solid Spring Framework experience, particularly Spring Boot<br />Experience developing REST APIs and microservices<br />Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases<br />Experience with Git<br />Understanding of OOP principles and design patterns<br />Experience with Maven or Gradle<br />Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Desirable experience AWS, Azure or GCP<br />Docker and Kubernetes<br />CI/CD pipelines<br />HTML, CSS and JavaScript<br />Agile/Scrum environments If you are interested in this role, please feel free to submit your CV
