SEND Teacher | Alnwick, United Kingdom | Hybrid
We are seeking passionate SEND Teachers to join a dynamic community dedicated to transforming the lives of young people. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact through flexible, trauma-informed education, supporting vulnerable learners in their development and academic journey.
The Role
- Provide in-person, online, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
- Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
- Work with local authorities and schools to support disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.
- Contribute to a mission of raising the standard of education for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
What You'll Need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
- Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2 professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
