This is an opportunity to teach in an environment where you can really get to know your students. Working with individuals and small groups, you’ll have the flexibility to adapt lessons around different strengths, interests and needs, helping students overcome barriers and experience meaningful success in education.

You’ll work with students with autism and additional needs, combining high expectations with a calm, personalised and supportive approach. From academic progress to increased confidence, independence and self-regulation, you’ll help students develop skills that can make a lasting difference.

Working alongside Learning Support Assistants and the wider multi-professional team, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment where everyone works towards the same goal – helping every student thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for individual students and small groups in line with the school’s curriculum
  • Adapt teaching, resources and learning environments to meet individual needs and enable students to make meaningful progress
  • Monitor, assess and record student progress, using this information to shape future learning and individual targets
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans, behaviour plans and other personalised programmes
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom where students feel safe, understood and ready to learn
  • Support students to develop confidence, independence and self-regulation, including those who may display behaviours that challenge
  • Lead and coordinate Learning Support Assistants and other colleagues to provide consistent and effective support
  • Work closely with families and the wider multi-professional team to support each student’s education, development and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working within an educational setting and planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or behaviours that challenge
  • The ability to tailor teaching and learning around individual strengths, needs and starting points
  • A calm, empathetic and resilient approach
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills
  • The confidence to lead and coordinate others effectively
  • A commitment to safeguarding and achieving the best possible outcomes for every student

About Us

Yiewsley Grange is one of our Early Years and Primary sites, providing specialist education for children aged 3.5 – 11 years old. Our schools support pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

At Yiewsley Grange, we use a wide range of teaching strategies to engage learners with diverse learning difficulties and styles. Pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards the Equals Semi-Formal Curriculum and equivalent functional skills qualifications.

As part of the Hillingdon Grange group of schools, Yiewsley Grange benefits from being one of four sites offering education from early years up to Key Stage 2. The group provides a unique combination of education and support for pupils across a wide spectrum of needs and abilities. By delivering personalised teaching in an autism-specific environment, we ensure that each pupil’s individual needs are fully addressed and their capabilities maximised. Our tailored primary learning environment is designed specifically to support autistic children in reaching their full potential

The site is situated in West Drayton and is commutable from Slough, Windsor and surrounding areas.

At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.

We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth year running.
