we are a Tier 1 vendor for the City and County of San Francisco for Cloud Services, Staffing Services and Training Services. For this multi-year opportunity with a diverse set of needs to address, we are currently focusing on establishing partnerships with individuals as well as companies who can help us enhance our overall service portfolio, cut lead times, and ultimately help us deliver successfully. We currently hold sizable Government accounts in the San Francisco bay area including City and County of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Designing and executing manual and automated test cases. (5+ years)
  2. Ability to analyze requirements, user stories (in Azure DevOps), and acceptance criteria to design effective, reusable test cases (including positive, negative, and boundary testing). (5+ years)
  3. Generating and documenting test plans and strategies. (5+ years)
  4. API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Client, and others. (5+ years)
  5. Demonstrable experience automating web applications using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  6. Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT related field

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience automating web applications using the Playwright for Java library.
  2. A background in Selenium WebDriver, which provides a strong foundation for understanding the strategies and nuances of browser automation.
  3. Experience in financial and government domains

Other Desired Qualification:

  1. Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes (Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, Data Conversion).
  2. Generating testing reports and metrics.
  3. Generating and acquiring test data.
  4. ADA Compliance testing tools, such as AccVerify, JAWS, etc.
  5. Build environments {DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD} specific test suites with integrated application life cycle management.
  6. Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs clearly and concisely in a tool like Azure DevOps.
  7. Senior-level (3 5+ years) hands-on experience performing performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, including scripting, executing test scenarios, analyzing results, and identifying system bottlenecks.

Automation & Technical Skills

  1. Proven experience writing clean, maintainable, and object-oriented Java code for test automation.
  2. Writing clear and effective Gherkin scenarios (Given/When/Then).
  3. Implementing Step Definitions in Java.
  4. Writing SQL and P-SQL queries.
  5. Ability to write and execute SQL queries (SELECTs, JOINs) for test data setup and validation against Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
  6. Proficiency in using Git for version control (merging, pull requests) as part of a team.

Agile & Collaboration

  1. Experience working as an active participant in an Agile/Scrum team and its ceremonies.
  2. Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  4. Strong skills in communicating test results, bugs, and risks to developers, BAs, and other stakeholders.

Security & Compliance

  1. Understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC).
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to work in person in downtown Lansing 2 days a week.
  4. Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module.
  5. Experience with Mobile App testing of iOS and Android applications.
  6. Experience using Eclipse as a primary development environment.
  7. Experience with the TestNG framework. (This remains valuable since your framework uses it for test running and its skipping logic).
  8. Additional experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner, including advanced workload modeling or CI/CD-based performance automation.
  9. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RESTAssured, or APIRequestContext
