Job Description

Position: Human Resources Manager
Industry: Agriculture / Food Production
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day HR operations and supervise HR staff.
  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, development, and offboarding.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies, workplace issues, and employment practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and California employment laws and Cal/OSHA requirements.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, leave management, HRIS, employee records, and compensation programs.
  • Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
  • Lead workplace investigations, safety initiatives, and employee training.
  • Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in HR leadership.
  • Experience supporting a large workforce or multi-site organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Hands-on payroll and HRIS experience.
  • Experience with OSHA/Cal-OSHA, workers' compensation, and workplace safety.
  • Agriculture, food manufacturing, production, or similar industry experience preferred.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR, SPHR-CA, or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
