Data Analyst - Level 1

Pay Range: $25/hr - $30/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Review submission forms, point lists, and supporting documentation from project managers and contractors.
• Compare each submitted point against what appears in the management system, confirming the point was delivered as documented.
• Verify conformance to naming conventions, labeling, and tagging standards.
• Monitor live building data for points that go stale, drop out, or report values outside a sensible range.
• Investigate data issues to determine their cause and escalate as necessary.
• Act as a first point of contact for colleagues needing help locating or interpreting data.
• Maintain clear records of what was verified, what was rejected, and why.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED; an Associate degree or technical/trade certificate is a plus.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and discipline in performing structured checks.
• Intermediate experience with Excel, including lookups, filters, and pivot tables.
• Clear written communication skills to articulate findings to project managers or contractors.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software platforms quickly.
• Exposure to building management, automation, or analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with point naming and tagging conventions.
• Basic understanding of HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Awareness of building system protocols such as BACnet or Modbus.
• Experience in data quality, quality assurance, or auditing roles.
• Any exposure to SQL or scripting for working with larger data sets.
