Flight Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced, and Senior Level Software Engineers. Our Air Dominance software engineers design, develop, and demonstrate avionics solutions for the platforms we build and upgrade. Your efforts will assist in integration of innovative technologies to maintain our platform’s dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come. Additionally, our software engineers support the Flight Simulation products associated with our platforms.

The roles will involve software development for models and tools that support the simulation infrastructure for an Air Dominance proprietary program.

Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, some of which could include: Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment Modeling various aircraft capabilities, including the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment

Position Responsibilities: Develops, documents and maintains architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system Supports development of simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals Executes and documents software research and development projects Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor’s Degree This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S.

Citizenship only 2+ years of experience programming in C, C++ or C# 2 + years of proven experience as a Software Engineer Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Active Secret Clearance or higher Experience in the defense or avionics industry Knowledge of basic networking principles Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira Strong coordination and communication skills Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Associate: $99,450.00 - $134,550.00. Summary pay range for Experienced: $126,650.00 - $171,350.00. Summary pay range for Senior: $160,650. 00 - $217,350.00.
