Highways Asset Manager

The primary purpose of the Highways Asset Manager role is to ensure the effective management and maintenance of the Council's highway infrastructure across the range asset groups. This includes leading a team of professionals, collecting data, maintaining asset records, developing and implementing asset management plans, policy and strategy development, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. The role is critical in ensuring that the highways assets are maintained, functional, and sustainable, meeting the needs of the community and complying with statutory requirements. Responsibilities also encompass managing devolution arrangements, generating income through highway advertisements, budget management, performance monitoring, and continuously improving service delivery.
