Job DescriptionTax Professionals | Senior Accountant through Senior Manager | Chicago & Suburbs\n\nBrilliant is working with several public accounting firms in the Chicago area that are looking to add experienced Tax professionals to their teams, ranging from Senior Tax Accountant through Senior Tax Manager.\n\nThese opportunities are a great fit for professionals looking to take on greater responsibility, work with a diverse client base, and continue developing their careers within public accounting.\n\nResponsibilities may include:\n\n Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations\n Manage multiple client engagements and serve as a primary point of contact for clients\n Research complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax planning and compliance matters\n Review work prepared by staff and senior-level team members and provide technical guidance\n Assist with tax planning, projections, research, and special projects\n Communicate directly with clients, management, and internal teams regarding tax matters\n Depending on level, supervise and mentor staff while helping manage engagement timelines and deliverables\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n 3+ years of public accounting tax experience, depending on level\n Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance\n Experience with individual and/or business tax returns\n CPA or progress toward CPA preferred\n Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\n Experience with tax software such as CCH, UltraTax, GoSystem, or similar platforms\n\n\nWhat’s Offered:\n\n Competitive base salary and bonus potential\n Strong benefits package\n Hybrid flexibility depending on firm and role\n Opportunity for continued advancement\n Exposure to a broad and diverse client base\n Collaborative team environment with strong professional development opportunities\n\n\nIf you’re a Tax professional in public accounting and open to exploring what’s next, feel free to reach out for a confidential conversation.
