Job Summary We are seeking a Network Infrastructure Security Professional to assess and strengthen network infrastructure and security compliance across multiple correctional facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with secure network environments, wireless security, network segmentation, compliance assessments, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Assess network infrastructure, topology, and physical security across multiple facilities.
- Conduct compliance and security gap assessments against CJIS, NIST, HIPAA, and State security standards.
- Evaluate secure wireless connectivity and risks associated with wireless networks in high-security environments.
- Design and recommend network segmentation strategies, including VLAN and firewall architectures.
- Evaluate and recommend authentication, encryption, access controls, and other security measures.
- Identify security risks and develop remediation recommendations.
- Perform security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Document findings, risk ratings, and security recommendations.
- Communicate technical risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel onsite to correctional facilities for assessment activities.
- 4–8 years of experience in Network Security, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure Security.
- Experience working in regulated or high-security environments.
- Strong knowledge of CJIS Security Policy, NIST standards, and HIPAA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi security, WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise, 802.1X, and NAC.
- Experience with network segmentation, VLANs, firewalls, authentication, and encryption.
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and FIPS 200.
- Experience conducting security assessments, audits, or compliance reviews.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience supporting correctional facilities, public safety, government, military, or healthcare environments.
- Experience with multi-vendor infrastructure environments.
- Experience conducting security assessments across multiple facilities.
