Client is hiring a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager (Technical Project Management, Enterprise Services), reporting to the Director of Technical Project Management.

Core purpose: Own mainframe modernization engagements end-to-end - assessment, migration/re-platforming, integration, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization - in production-critical, zero-tolerance-for-outage environments. This is a senior IC role on the Technical Career Path, not a people-management position; influence comes from credibility, not headcount.

What they'll be accountable for:

• Full delivery ownership: scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across concurrent workstreams (assessment, migration execution, integration, testing/cutover, stabilization/handover).
• Operating with high autonomy under limited/general supervision - expected to make judgment calls and escalate to the Director or executive sponsors with recommendations, not open questions.
• Formal delivery discipline: detailed schedules, cost forecasts, change control, risk/issue registers with named owners, and compliance/governance artifacts (critical in regulated environments where rollback and change control are contractual).
• Stakeholder-facing communication: status meetings, executive steering support, delivery-ready reporting, and incident/problem management follow-through.
• Practice-building: coaching junior PMs on shared engagements, contributing templates/checklists/lessons learned, and running postmortems that feed into Enterprise Services-wide process improvement.

Required background:

• 8+ years delivering technology projects, including vendor-side/consulting delivery to external customers.
• Proven end-to-end engagement ownership with accountability for scope/schedule/cost/quality.
• Experience with both Fixed Price and T&M commercial models.
• Strong facilitation and written/customer communication skills.
• Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred (differentiators): PMP/PRINCE2 (or in progress); direct mainframe modernization experience (IBM Z/Power, migration, hybrid cloud integration); regulated-industry delivery experience; PM coaching/mentoring; and experience improving PM methodology/tooling rather than just following it.
