Job Description

Sr. Java Streaming Engineer

Location: USA (Remote)
Duration: Contract 

Overview

Seeking a Sr. Java Streaming Engineer with 7+ years of experience building high-performance, cloud-based streaming and data processing applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Kafka, Apache Flink/Spark, AWS, and DevOps technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, real-time streaming and big data applications.
  • Design, develop, test, and support cloud-based data solutions.
  • Build event-driven applications using Kafka and streaming frameworks.
  • Write unit/integration tests and follow Agile & SDLC best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Java development.
  • Apache Flink, Spark, Kafka Streams.
  • Kafka (required); RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/Kinesis (preferred).
  • AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, KMS, AWS CLI).
  • Public cloud experience (AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
  • JUnit, Citrus testing frameworks.
  • SQL & NoSQL databases.
  • Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Monitoring tools: Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, AppDynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving and Agile development experience.
