Job Description

Senior Project Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $160,000–$180,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead land development projects from planning and design through construction. The ideal candidate will manage project schedules, budgets, client relationships, and multidisciplinary engineering teams while ensuring compliance with California regulations and permitting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and review grading, drainage, utility, and street improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical quality.
  • Ensure projects comply with California engineering standards and permitting requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • 5+ years leading engineering teams and managing projects.
  • Strong experience in land development.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
