Job Description

LASER OPERATOR - TWO SEPARATE OPENINGS

Laser Operator — 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM

Laser Operator — 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

PRECISION. TECHNOLOGY. QUALITY.

A fast-growing, technology-driven sheet metal manufacturing company is seeking experienced Laser Operators for two separate openings supporting precision manufacturing for demanding industrial applications, including aerospace, construction, and water infrastructure.

AS9100/ISO and ITAR training is required prior to joining the team.

These are hands-on manufacturing positions for individuals who understand laser cutting equipment, can interpret technical drawings, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality components.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Set Up & Operate: Configure and operate laser cutting equipment according to work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain Precision: Adjust laser power, speed, focus, and other settings to achieve accurate cuts while minimizing material waste.
  • Monitor Production: Continuously monitor equipment performance and finished parts to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve equipment or process issues to minimize downtime and keep production moving.
  • Inspect Quality: Use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications before moving to the next stage of production.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with engineering, production, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain Safety: Follow all safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Hands-on experience operating laser cutting machinery, CNC equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling manufacturing materials
  • AS9100/ISO and ITAR training — required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing certifications are a plus

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are mechanically capable, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working directly with sophisticated manufacturing equipment. You understand that precision matters—not just in the finished product, but in setup, inspection, troubleshooting, and every step of the production process.

You take ownership of your work, identify problems rather than work around them, and understand the importance of safety, quality, productivity, and meeting production schedules.

WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY

  • Work with advanced laser cutting and manufacturing technology
  • Join a fast-growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Opportunity for professional growth and advancement
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Contribute to precision-manufactured components supporting critical industries
