HR Advisor(3 months)

We are recruiting for an experienced People Advisor to join a London-based organisation within the education sector for an initial 3-month assignment.

This is a hands-on role supporting managers across three London sites, with a particular focus on sickness absence and employee relations casework. You'll manage your own caseload from start through to resolution, providing practical, confident advice to managers and helping move existing cases forward.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing short and long-term sickness absence cases
• Coaching and advising managers through absence, return-to-work and formal processes
• Managing Occupational Health referrals, reasonable adjustments and phased returns
• Supporting ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability and probation
• Preparing letters, case documentation and supporting formal meetings
• Maintaining accurate case records and providing regular updates on progress and risks

What we're looking for:

• Strong HR advisory and employee relations experience
• Proven experience managing sickness absence cases
• Good working knowledge of employment law and HR policies
• Confidence advising and influencing managers
• Strong organisation and case management skills
• CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent HR advisory experience
• Education/schools experience would be beneficial but is not essential

This would particularly suit an experienced HR/People Advisor who can hit the ground running, confidently pick up an existing caseload and work autonomously from day one.
