About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Expert - IBM Integration to design, develop and support secure, scalable enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM API Connect (APIC), ESQL and Java, along with knowledge of cyber security frameworks and secure messaging standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement integration solutions using IBM ACE, IBM APIC, ESQL and Java.
  • Design service interfaces, message transformations, XML schemas and integration logic.
  • Ensure secure, reliable and reusable system integrations across enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration, API and messaging issues.
  • Apply TLS, PKI concepts and XML standards to secure integration services.
  • Develop monitoring, logging, auditing and testing capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation and implementation artefacts.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, testers and support teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Support security remediation, compliance initiatives, backlog prioritisation and delivery planning.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer to the team.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands on experience with IBM ACE and IBM APIC.
  • Proficiency in ESQL, Java, XML, XML Schema and message transformation.
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise integration and messaging solutions.
  • Knowledge of TLS, PKI, secure interfaces and API security.
  • Experience in cyber security, security remediation, compliance or risk management within complex ICT environments.
  • Understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight, and familiarity with NIST.
  • Strong stakeholder management, technical documentation, problem solving and communication skills.
