Senior Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid at Reston VA and client locations in the Washington DC area
Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst leads requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation for delivery teams. This role is responsible for gathering and translating complex business needs into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. The Senior Business Analyst partners closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders, mentors junior analysts, and leverages AI assisted analysis tools to improve accuracy, speed, and traceability across the requirements lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements

• Translate business and regulatory needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Facilitate backlog refinement and prioritization with product owners

• Model business processes, data flows, and workflow requirements

• Mentor junior analysts and review requirements artifacts for clarity and completeness

• Support user acceptance testing, test scenarios, and deliverable validation

• Use AI assisted tools for requirements analysis, documentation, and traceability

Minimum Experience

• Seven plus years of business analysis experience on IT programs

• Experience with requirements elicitation, modeling, and documentation

• Experience with Agile delivery and backlog management

• Experience communicating with both technical and business stakeholders
