HR Manager | Rodman, NY, United States | On-site

This employer is a leading food service distributor committed to fostering a positive and safe work environment for its large, diverse workforce. They are seeking a dedicated HR Manager to champion employee engagement, uphold HR best practices, and support strategic business objectives across their market operations.

  • Foster a strong safety culture and drive employee well-being through leadership accountability and engagement initiatives.
  • Advocate for a positive employee experience, identify and escalate potential risks, and implement strategies to boost engagement and retention.
  • Advise management on HR policies, facilitate training sessions, and support the development of department goals.
  • Execute communication and change campaigns for HR and business priorities, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and adoption.
  • Lead employee relations investigations, manage recruitment and staffing strategies, and oversee performance management processes.
  • Administer leave programs, support ADA interactive processes, and manage workers' compensation claims.

  • Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a professional, non-administrative capacity.
  • Proven experience consulting with and advising management teams on HR matters.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of core HR principles and employment legislation (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, Title VII).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS systems, and effective presentation skills with the ability to interact with all employee levels.
  • Familiarity with affirmative action requirements and experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; SHRM certification is a plus.
