Senior Java Full Stack Developer – Angular & Google Cloud Platform | 30-Month W-2 Contract | Onsite Albany, NY

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to support a New York State government agency on a long-term engagement. You'll build and enhance multi-tier Java web applications with Angular front ends. You'll also work on cloud hosting in Google Cloud Platform, CI/CD pipelines, and secure integrations with third-party content. This is a 30-month contract based onsite in Albany, NY from Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-tier Java web applications using J2EE or Spring Boot within an agile team
• Build Angular user interfaces and reusable components that meet ADA/WCAG accessibility standards
• Develop and integrate REST/SOAP services, backend business services, batch jobs, and application interfaces
• Write complex SQL queries and data-access components using DB2, Hibernate, and JPA
• Maintain GitHub/GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
• Support applications on Google Cloud Platform, including CDN configuration (Cloudflare or Akamai) and external file storage
• Configure Apache, Nginx, or IIS web servers for complex URL redirects and rewrite rules
• Integrate and secure embedded third-party content, such as Tableau dashboards, using CORS, CSP, and SSO
• Analyze and document existing application designs, enhancement roadmaps, and technical debt

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years developing Java-based, multi-tier web applications with J2EE or Spring Boot, design patterns, and agile methodologies
• 4+ years developing Angular UIs, reusable components, and ADA/WCAG-compliant applications
• 4+ years developing and integrating REST/SOAP services, backend services, batch jobs, and interfaces
• 3+ years with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD pipeline tools
• 2+ years writing complex relational database queries and data-access layers (SQL, DB2, Hibernate, JPA)
• 2+ years developing or supporting applications on Google Cloud Platform or another enterprise cloud, including CDN configuration and external file hosting
• 2+ years analyzing and documenting application designs, roadmaps, and technical debt
• 2+ years configuring web servers for redirects and rewrites, and securing embedded third-party content with CORS, CSP, or SSO

Work Requirements

• Onsite in Albany, NY from Day 1 (no remote option)
• W-2 only; no corp-to-corp or third-party arrangements
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
