Business Analyst - LMS

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Business Analyst to support a large-scale Learning Management System (LMS) transformation initiative. This individual will partner with Learning & Development, Technology, Operations, and LMS vendors to define business requirements, evaluate current processes, design future-state solutions, and coordinate functional testing activities. The ideal candidate has experience supporting LMS implementations or comparable enterprise software deployments and can effectively bridge business and technical teams. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful transition to a new LMS by improving administrative processes, identifying automation opportunities, validating system functionality, and supporting change readiness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications. Document current-state and future-state business processes. Analyze current workflows and conduct time studies to identify process improvement and automation opportunities. Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to design and implement scalable solutions. Develop and execute functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Validate system functionality, track defects, and support issue resolution. Assist with data validation, migration activities, and implementation readiness. Support development of operational processes and standard work for the future LMS environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Human Resources,

Education, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role. Experience implementing, administering, or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) or comparable enterprise platforms. Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements. Experience developing and executing functional and user acceptance testing plans. Strong process mapping and business process improvement skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements for technical teams.
