Senior Genesys Cloud Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Our client, a global software company, is looking to hire a Senior Genesys Cloud Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (AI) for a 4-month, fully remote contract. The consultant will lead the implementation of advanced Genesys Cloud AI capabilities while driving AI strategies (LLMs, prompt engineering, and AIOps) into the architecture. Additionally, the consultant will establish be building CX as Code pipelines to automate platform configurations.
Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy advanced Genesys Cloud AI features, including Genesys Cloud AI Experience, Agent Assist, Predictive Routing, and smart bots.
• Experience with recent Genesys Cloud development in Digital Virtual Agents, Phone Virtual Agents, Agentic Virtual Agents
• Integrate broader AI technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) and custom orchestration (e.g., Model Context Protocol / MCP) to elevate automated customer interactions.
• Knows AI Studio and has built things in production environments
• Establish enterprise-grade CX as Code frameworks using Terraform to implement robust CI/CD practices for Genesys Cloud configurations.
• Introduce AIOps patterns to monitor platform health, predict routing bottlenecks, and automate incident response.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in senior engineering roles with a strict focus on Cloud Contact Center (CCaaS) and AI architectures.
• Strong experience with Genesys Cloud CX platform and its native AI stack.
• Proven track record working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and conversational AI orchestration.
• Deep, practical experience configuring Genesys utilizing CX as Code / Terraform within a CI/CD pipeline.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $67.50 - $107.25 per hour
