Oracle EBS R12 Financials – L3 Functional Consultant / Lead (R2R)

Introduction:

This role involves providing Level 3 functional support for financial modules related to Record to Report (R2R) within Oracle EBS R12. The consultant will be responsible for resolving functional break-fix incidents, analyzing data integrity issues, and supporting month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as L3 functional escalation point for Oracle EBS R12 R2R related modules.

2. Troubleshoot complex integration issues, reconciliations, consolidation, translation, new ledger set ups, and legal entity set ups.

3. Analyze and resolve medium to complex functional issues that cannot be resolved by L2 support.

4. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and support permanent fixes.

5. Monitor, coordinate, and guide the team to control the number of open tickets.

6. Resolve functional break-fix calls either permanently or by workarounds.

7. Handle issues related to data in the production instance.

8. Follow up on service requests, patches, and issues to ensure resolution.

9. Conduct training for power users on the application and support functionalities.

10. Work with the client to gather functional requirements for enhancements.

11. Conduct root cause analysis and error detection/correction.

12. Provide 24/7 in-person or Zoom support for priority/critical day-to-day operational issues.

13. Provide 24/7 in-person or Zoom support for month-close activities.

14. Monitor integrations for data leakage and error handling.

15. Perform smoke testing after planned/unplanned system outages to ensure stability.

16. Resolve functional issues related to Oracle E-Business Suite related to R2R cycle.

17. Maintain client SLAs.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

- 14-16 years of Oracle EBS R12 functional support experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in General Ledger and configurations.

- Deep understanding of end-to-end financial process flows and accounting impacts.

- Deep knowledge of R2R data flow, tables, and integrations.

- Expertise with APIs, Interfaces, and troubleshooting complex issues.

- Experience with Level 3 support, RCA, and solution governance.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

- Ability to work on-site at the client office in a hybrid model.

- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and escalate issues effectively.
