The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with financial transactions and documentation in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This position will also communicate with both English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders; therefore, professional proficiency in both languages is required. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including tracking invoices, payments, and outstanding balances. Support the accountant with day-to-day bookkeeping and general accounting activities. Assist with bank and account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed. Maintain organized and accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, payment documentation, and supporting records. Verify financial information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, reimbursements, and other financial matters. Communicate with vendors and other business partners regarding payment or account-related matters as needed. Assist with month-end accounting activities and preparation of financial documentation. Assist with additional accounting and finance-related responsibilities as assigned.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, accounts payable/accounts receivable, or a related role. Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese required due to regular business communication with English- and Mandarin-speaking internal stakeholders. Working knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles. Experience tracking financial transactions, payments, invoices, and account activity. Ability to maintain confidential financial information.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with accounting, finance, and other departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting or financial management software preferred. Must have reliable transportation and be on-site office hours. Experience supporting accounting operations within a commercial construction or project-based organization. Familiarity with construction-related invoices, vendor payments, subcontractor documentation, or project expenses. Experience with account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the daily financial operations of an organization. The Accounting & Finance Specialist will work closely with the company’s accountant and other internal stakeholders and will play an important role in ensuring financial transactions are accurately tracked and documented.
