Location: Fremont, CA – 5 Days Onsite
Duration: 6–12 Months Contract + Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building automation frameworks, testing across UI, API, backend and database layers, and improving software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python, Playwright and Selenium
• Build automated tests for web applications, APIs, backend systems and end-to-end workflows
• Develop reusable automation libraries and testing utilities
• Perform UI, API, integration, regression, functional and database testing
• Write SQL queries for data validation and backend troubleshooting
• Support automation framework modernization and migration
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis
• Collaborate with developers, product teams and business stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and improve automation best practices
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SDET, QA Automation or Software Quality Engineering
• Strong hands-on Python programming
• Strong hands-on Playwright automation
• Experience with Selenium
• Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
• Strong API testing and debugging experience
• Advanced SQL skills including joins and data validation
• Experience with end-to-end UI, API and database automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
