Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Automation / QA Engineer to serve as a quality gatekeeper across the full software delivery lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python automation, Playwright, Selenium, API testing, data validation, SQL, CI/CD, and Azure. This role will be responsible for validating business requirements, designing and executing end-to-end test strategies, maintaining requirement traceability, and ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Experience with GenAI / Agentic AI testing is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize comprehensive Test Strategies and Test Plans.

• Review Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and translate requirements into testable acceptance criteria.

• Identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks in requirements before development begins.

• Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) linking requirements, test cases, test results, and defects.

• Participate in BRD walkthroughs and sign-off discussions with business stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and execute end-to-end functional, integration, and regression tests.

• Test complete data pipelines from source systems through Databricks/Snowflake transformations to dashboard/UI layers.

• Validate data accuracy across Databricks Unity Catalog schemas.

• Develop and execute SQL-based data validation scripts.

• Build Python-based data quality frameworks using Great Expectations, Deequ, or custom solutions.

• Validate data completeness, referential integrity, and schema evolution across raw and curated data layers.

• Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Selenium.

• Perform comprehensive REST and GraphQL API testing and automation.

• Validate API contracts, request/response schemas, status codes, headers, and authentication.

• Test authentication and authorization flows, including token validation, role-based access, and session management.

• Validate API error handling, malformed payloads, rate limiting, timeouts, and 4xx/5xx responses.

• Perform API performance testing using Locust, k6, or JMeter.

• Test API versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation handling.

• Integrate automated API and UI testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Validate consistency between API responses and underlying Databricks/SQL query results.

• Manage defects throughout the lifecycle and ensure no critical requirements are missed or escaped.

Required Technical Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Python and QA automation.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks.

• Deep experience with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.

• Experience with Python, TypeScript, and/or JavaScript for automation.

• Strong hands-on experience in API automation and API testing.

• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Strong SQL and database validation skills.

• Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.

• Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Docker.

• Strong experience in Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Case Development, and Execution.

• Strong experience with Requirement Traceability and Defect Management.

API Testing Experience
