Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OpenText Exstream / StreamServe Developer to support Customer Communications Management (CCM), document composition, migration, development, integration, and production support initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream and/or StreamServe, including document composition, template development, workflow/orchestration, input/output processing, migration, troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise applications.

Experience with Exstream Cloud Native, AWS/Azure, REST APIs, XML, SQL, and legacy StreamServe modernization is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain OpenText Exstream / StreamServe CCM applications.

• Develop and maintain document templates, forms, communications, and composition workflows.

• Work with Exstream Designer, StoryTeller, Composition Center, Communications Designer, Content Author, and related components.

• Configure and manage input/output connectors, document processing, routing, and delivery.

• Work with XML, AFP, PDF, HTML5, PCL, and other document/output formats.

• Develop and maintain batch and interactive customer communications.

• Configure Orchestration flows, Flow Context, Flow Model, and Flow Scripts.

• Perform migration of legacy StreamServe / Exstream applications and templates to newer Exstream or Cloud Native environments.

• Support application deployment across development, test, and production environments.

• Integrate Exstream with enterprise applications using REST APIs, XML, SQL, Java, and other integration technologies.

• Troubleshoot document-generation, composition, integration, performance, and production issues.

• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, production rollout, and post-production support.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical document-composition solutions.

• Develop technical specifications, mapping documents, configuration documentation, and deployment procedures.

• Perform code/configuration reviews and follow development and QA standards.

• Work closely with architects, business analysts, QA teams, application teams, and project managers.

• Identify opportunities for performance optimization and process automation.

• Participate in production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and problem management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream, StreamServe, or equivalent CCM/document composition platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream / StreamServe.

• Experience with StreamServe 5.x / Exstream legacy or modern versions.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Strong understanding of document composition and end-to-end CCM lifecycle.

• Experience developing complex templates and variable-data documents.

• Experience with XML, JSON, SQL, and scripting.

• Experience with REST APIs and enterprise application integrations.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments.

• Good understanding of deployment, configuration, and environment management.

OpenText itself identifies StreamServe as a legacy CCM platform that can be migrated toward its newer OpenText Communications platform.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Exstream / StreamServe CCM specialist who can independently handle development, configuration, integration, migration, testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting in a large enterprise environment.
