1. Technical Profile Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer will design, develop, and optimize scalable enterprise architectures across core Salesforce clouds and decoupled middleware/data ecosystems. This role bridges programmatic Salesforce engineering (Apex, LWC) with modern programmatic backend capabilities (Python), leading API-first integrations, data pipeline engineering, automation frameworks, and maintainable enterprise software design patterns.

2. Core Salesforce Platform & Programmatic Development (Mandatory)

•             Apex Engineering & Architecture:

o             Advanced object-oriented programming (OOP) using enterprise design patterns (Trigger Handler frameworks, Service Layer pattern, Domain/Selector layer, Unit of Work pattern).

o             Asynchronous processing mastery: Batch Apex, Queueable Apex with chaining, Schedulable jobs, and Continuation patterns for long-running callouts.

o             Rigorous transaction management and governor limit mitigation strategies (SOQL/SOSL query optimization, heap size tuning, and bulkified CPU execution profiling).

o             Comprehensive automated testing using Apex Mocks, stub APIs, and enterprise-grade test isolation fixtures achieving resilient code coverage.

•             Modern Frontend (Lightning Web Components & UX):

o             Modern JavaScript (ES6+) and Lightning Web Components (LWC) reactive programming, lifecycle hooks, wire adapters, and @api/@track state architecture.

o             Component orchestration via Lightning Message Service (LMS), custom events, and publish-subscribe paradigms across decoupled UI boundaries.

o             Experience handling complex data tables, real-time client validation, custom modal interactions, and Lightning Design System (SLDS) styling standards.

o             Legacy maintenance and refactoring capabilities: aura component modernization and Visualforce deprecation roadmaps.

3. Enterprise Integration & Middleware Architecture (Mandatory)

•             API Development & Protocols:

o             Designing and consuming custom RESTful and SOAP web services (Apex REST APIs, external REST endpoints, JSON/XML parsing).

o             Deep understanding of Salesforce native integration APIs: Composite API, Bulk API 2.0, Streaming API, and GraphQL API.

o             Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) using Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and Pub/Sub APIs for real-time decoupled event streaming.

•             Security & Authentication:

o             OAuth 2.0 flows (JWT Bearer Token flow, Web Server flow, Authorization Code, Client Credentials) and mutual TLS (mTLS).

o             Named Credentials, External Credentials, Connected Apps configuration, and certificate-based mutual authentication.

•             Hybrid Middleware & Microservices:

o             Integrating Salesforce with enterprise middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, AWS EventBridge, Azure Service Bus).

o             Idempotency handling, exponential backoff, error retry queues, and dead-letter queue (DLQ) architectures.

4. Python Development & Data Ecosystem (Mandatory)

•             Python Capabilities & Tooling:

o             Advanced proficiency in Python 3.x (functional programming, object-oriented design, type hinting, concurrency with asyncio, multithreading, or multiprocessing).

o             Direct experience with Salesforce programmatic interaction libraries such as simple-salesforce, beatbox, and official REST/Bulk API wrappers.

o             Microservice / API development using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or AWS Lambda serverless functions.

•             Data Engineering & Automation Pipelines:

o             Designing Python-driven ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data synchronization between Salesforce and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS Redshift, or Databricks).

o             Data manipulation and cleansing using libraries such as pandas, polars, and numpy for data sanitation, mass deduplication, and complex transformations.

o             Automated operational scripts for bulk data extract, compliance validation, and platform telemetry aggregation.

•             AI & Agentic Systems (Preferred / Emerging):

o             Interfacing Python-based AI agents, LLMs, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with Salesforce data models (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Bedrock APIs, Salesforce Agentforce integration).

Roles & Responsibilities

•             Develop, implement and maintain Salesforce customizations, applications, extensions and integrations.

•             Develop complex workflows using flows and omni studio will be preferred

•             Develop LWC components

•             Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.

•             Collaborate inter-departmentally to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

•             Create testing and implementation plans, including user training and documentation.

•             Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices.

•             Experience with Apex, Visualforce and the Lightning Component Framework.

•             Advanced knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, etc.

•             Experience with APIs and integrations.

•             Experience working on an Agile development team

•             Experience with software development outside of the Salesforce ecosystem.

•             Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
