The Role

  • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for pipe cutting, bending, welding, and installation.
  • Install essential utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels.
  • Assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure project completion and accuracy.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company procedures.

What You'll Need

  • Hold a Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds).
  • Demonstrable experience in pipe manufacturing and installation, with proficiency in relevant tools and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements, with consistent application.
  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
