Tech Business Analyst Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tech Business Analyst Principal in Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for business unit relationships and overseeing, managing and leveraging the entire life cycle of information technology investments in systems for a department
• Lead or participate in process redesign and support activities, including using tools, responding to user questions, problem diagnosis, recognition and solutions for process improvements, research, troubleshooting, tracking and resolution
• Research best practices to develop innovative solutions for complex process improvement efforts or business needs
• Develops and implements business analysis standards and ensures compliance with standards
• Creates and communicates capabilities and scope plans to all levels of business technical staff
• Provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field of study with 7 years of work experience or Associate's degree in Computer Science with 9 years of relevant work experience or High School diploma/GED with 11 years of relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of business analyst experience in Maximo is required
• Strong experience in facilitating value stream mapping sessions to analyze current state, gather requirements for future state and gap analysis
• Experience in analyzing requirements for business transformation projects
• Working knowledge of project methodologies like waterfall and Agile Scrum
• Data exploration and analysis skills (i.e. SQL)
• Ability to effectively translate functional and non-functional requirements to technology teams
• Ability to use business analysis techniques and tools for use case modeling, data modeling, process mapping and testing
• Demonstrated ability to learn new domains by collaborating with business and technical teams
• Able to understand and apply technology solutions by translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and basic system configuration
• Able to use multiple techniques for requirements elicitation and document creation, establishes business capabilities, and ensures asset organization and refinement
• Utility experience is a plus
• User security experience is preferred but not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
