Senior Backend Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Supply Chain

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build large-scale services powering AWS infrastructure supply chain. In this role, you will own backend systems that forecast demand, manage capacity, and automate hardware and logistics workflows worldwide. You will architect cloud-native services on AWS, optimize performance and reliability, and create secure, well-tested APIs and data pipelines. Partner with product, operations, and data teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for AWS infrastructure supply chain systems
• Develop and optimize services running on AWS using Java, Python, or similar languages
• Create and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and integrations with internal AWS systems
• Improve reliability, performance, and security of supply chain platforms
• Collaborate with product, operations, and data teams to define technical solutions
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices
• Use data and metrics to drive architectural decisions and continuous improvement
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution for critical services
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term architectural planning
• Document designs, standards, and operational runbooks
