About Seated
Seated exists to help restaurants thrive in an industry defined by thin margins and underutilized capacity. We connect thousands of restaurants with millions of high-intent diners through demand-driven pricing and rewards, helping restaurants fill empty tables, reach new guests, increase visit frequency, and drive profitable incremental revenue.
Since launching, billions of dollars in restaurant spend have flowed through Seated, and hundreds of millions of dollars in rewards have been paid to Seated consumers. Today, Seated operates across 20+ U.S. markets and continues to expand nationally.
Our core marketplace is thriving. Now, we’re focused on expanding the value Seated creates for restaurants and consumers and building the company’s next major growth engine.

Role Overview
Seated is hiring a VP of Product to own product strategy and execution across our consumer and restaurant businesses.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will be responsible for helping determine where Seated makes its next major product investment, strengthening critical parts of our underlying product infrastructure, and identifying new ways for product to drive growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role. We’re looking for someone who can operate credibly with executives and the board while staying close to the work - talking to customers, digging into data, writing requirements, testing ideas, and working directly with Design and Engineering to ship great products.
The VP of Product will lead a Product and Design team and work as a close partner to Engineering. Scope may expand based on the individual, potentially including Analytics, Consumer, or broader GM responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution across Seated’s consumer and restaurant products
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to identify, evaluate, and validate Seated’s next major product bets
- Lead product discovery, customer research, experimentation, business-case development, and validation
- Evaluate opportunities across consumer marketplace expansion, restaurant software, AI, and adjacent products
- Strengthen critical product infrastructure, including merchant identification and transaction recognition
- Partner closely with Engineering on technical tradeoffs, prioritization, and execution
- Identify opportunities for product-led growth across acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization
- Build and lead a small, high-performing Product and Design team
- Translate company strategy into a focused product roadmap with clear priorities and measurable outcomes
- Develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior, restaurant operator needs, unit economics, and marketplace dynamics
- 10+ years of product, product-adjacent, or general management experience with significant senior product leadership responsibility
- Experience operating in a startup or high-growth technology company
- Strong consumer product instincts, ideally developed within a two-sided marketplace
- Track record of personally building and launching products, not simply managing product organizations
- Experience evaluating zero-to-one opportunities and determining which products or markets deserve significant investment
- Strong analytical ability and comfort using data to make product and business decisions
- Technical fluency and ability to work deeply with Engineering on complex infrastructure and platform problems
- Strong understanding of growth, acquisition, retention, monetization, and marketplace dynamics
- Ability to operate effectively with a small team and limited resources
- Executive-level communication skills, high ownership, low ego, and strong product judgment
Preferred Experience
- Experience at a consumer marketplace such as food delivery, mobility, travel, local commerce, or another two-sided marketplace
- Experience managing a product led growth business
- Experience spanning both consumer and B2B / merchant products
- Experience in restaurant technology, hospitality, local commerce, or SMB software
- Experience with fintech, payments, card-linked offers, transaction data, merchant identification, or related infrastructure
- Experience building AI-enabled products
- Experience owning broader GM or business responsibilities in addition to Product
- $220,000 - $400,000 base salary + significant stock options
- 401k with company match
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- FSA, dependent care, and commuter benefits
- Paid parental leave and unlimited PTO
- TeleDoc, One Medical, Talkspace, and WellHub access
- Citi Bike membership
- $100 monthly Seated dining credit
