Data Business Analyst

Position: Data BA

Location: New Haven CT-Hybrid

Duration: 12+ Months

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are working with an established organization seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions. This individual will gather and translate business requirements, analyze processes and data, and partner closely with stakeholders, developers, and architects to design effective technology solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Snowflake experience required (data analysis, data mapping, reporting).
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data visualization.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
• Conduct gap analysis and collaborate with developers and architects on solutions.
• Create process flows, diagrams, business cases, and requirements documentation.
• Support technical design, system enhancements, and incident analysis.
• Work across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Business Systems Analyst or related experience.
• Experience working with IT development teams on complex projects.
• Strong requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation skills.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL and data analysis experience.
• Understanding of cloud applications, web services, APIs, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services and scripting.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Visio and other Microsoft applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• CCBA or CBAP certification preferred
