Technical Business Analyst

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for an Onsite position with a Major Media and Entertainment Company located in Orlando, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role involves engaging with various teams to gather and translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories. The successful candidate will manage the solution delivery process from inception to implementation, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies within a software development environment. A strong affinity for the technical side of business analysis is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:

• Work with different teams to gather and capture business requirements
• Break down requirements into user stories
• Manage projects from inception to implementation
• Engage clients to document and edit business requirements, specifications, and business processes
• Document project testing efforts and perform some level of UAT
• Work with project managers to ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with traditional waterfall and agile methodologies
• Proven experience delivering software development solutions
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and support teams
• Outgoing with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Excellent communicator who can adjust messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred

Desired skills:

• Experience with Jira
• Theme park industry experience
• Experience with sales, web, and mobile technologies
• Experience with Salesforce
• Previous experience as a Technical Product Owner or in a highly technical BA role
• Experience with developer portals, observability platforms, monitoring dashboards, or alerting solutions

Pay range: up to $67.51 per hour
