Stafford, Staffordshire.

£35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Benefits.

4 day working week (Monday – Thursday)

A thriving, successful manufacturing business based in Stafford are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to help improve their manufacturing processes, solve engineering problems and reduce costs. You will take ownership of problems from start to finish, identify root causes and put practical solutions in place.

Responsibilities:

• Improve production processes, efficiency, quality and costs.
• Investigate problems, identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Improve tooling, jigs, fixtures and manufacturing methods.
• Provide practical engineering support to the production team.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-saving projects.
• Update work instructions, processes and engineering documentation.
• Work within a cross range of departments.
• Monitor improvements to ensure delivery of lasting results.

Experience Required:

• A background in Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
• A proven track record of improving manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
• Experience with CAD, engineering drawings, tooling and fixtures.
• Good communication and project-management skills.
