Job Description:

Role Overview:

The Test Lead is responsible for defining and executing the overall test strategy, ensuring delivery of high-quality, production-ready software across multiple releases. This role leads test planning, test execution, defect management, and release readiness activities while working closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, Development, DevOps, and Validation teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Jira/Xray, including requirements traceability, test planning, test execution, test metrics, and release reporting. The Test Lead will establish test processes, drive automation initiatives, maintain end-to-end traceability between requirements, features, and test cases, and provide clear quality status to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the test strategy and test plans.
• Manage test execution, defect triage, regression testing, and release validation.
• Own requirements-to-test traceability using Jira and Xray.
• Develop and track quality metrics, coverage reports, and release readiness criteria.
• Coordinate testing across software, platform, integration, and customer validation teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation, test processes, and quality practices.
• Mentor test engineers and provide technical leadership for validation activities.

Required Experience

• 5+ years in software test leadership or test management roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Xray Test Management for Jira.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of complex platform, cloud-native, or embedded systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation:

Base Annual Compensation:  $125,000 - $200,000

The salary range listed represents the Company’s good-faith estimate of the base compensation reasonably expected to be offered for this position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered to the selected candidate may vary based on job-related factors, including work location, market conditions, relevant experience, education and training, technical skills, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, and the results of role-specific technical evaluations conducted during the selection process. This position may also be eligible for benefits and other forms of compensation, as applicable. Compensation decisions are made in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
