Job Description

Immediate need for a talented UX Designer / UX Specialist. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in U.S(Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $70/hr - $72/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design intuitive, accessible, and user-centered experiences for complex enterprise applications and business workflows.
  • Apply UX methodologies and design-thinking principles to develop effective design solutions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
  • Work within established design systems and follow design-system standards and Atomic Design principles.
  • Support UX design initiatives for enterprise onboarding, offer selection, and management workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to move design initiatives forward.
  • Apply accessibility fundamentals and use accessibility testing tools to ensure inclusive user experiences.
  • Understand UX research processes and incorporate research insights into design decisions.
  • Take ownership of design deliverables, proactively resolve challenges, and contribute ideas to improve design practices.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • 5+ years of UX design experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of UX methodologies, design thinking, and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications and complex business workflows.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and take ownership of design projects.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in large, cross-functional team environments.
  • Experience in financial services, retirement services, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • A portfolio showcasing UX case studies, design decisions, problem-solving, and individual contributions is required.
  • Portfolio must be accessible through HTTPS. If password-protected, access instructions must be provided.
  • University degree preferred.
  • Expert-level Figma, including prototyping and design-system workflows.
  • UX methodology and design-thinking expertise.
  • Design-system experience and knowledge of Atomic Design principles.
  • Accessibility fundamentals and accessibility testing.
  • Enterprise UX design and complex workflow design.
  • Understanding of UX research processes and their application to design.
  • Strong ownership, initiative, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or retirement services.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and incorporating AI into the design workflow.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments.
  • Mobile UX design experience.
  • A portfolio with detailed case studies explaining the problem, design process, solution, and your specific contributions is essential.
  • The portfolio should demonstrate problem-solving and design rationale, not just polished UI screens.
  • The portfolio must be accessible via HTTPS.
