Job Description

A client with Kforce is seeking a Marketing Associate III to join their team in San Diego, CA.

Summary

Our client is in a transformational moment in its brand evolution. We need to build trust with Gen Z, while simultaneously breaking calcified perceptions that the client is just a DIY tool for simple taxes. To do that, we're activating in new ways across culture and IRL experiences - and we are seeking a contract brand strategist to help support our transformation.

We're looking for an individual with agency and/or client-side experience in brand strategy, creative strategy, or brand management - who can both dive into data to craft clear, actionable strategies and roll up their sleeves to move work forward independently. As part of the Brand Strategy & Integrated Marketing team, this individual will be primarily responsible for execution on our cultural partnerships and brand health reporting, and flex into ad hoc brand strategy and integrated marketing work as it comes up.

Responsibilities

Support the development of custom creative that embeds the client's brand into culture - including podcasts, integrations with streaming IPs, and custom activations in cultural spaces like music and gaming
Manage partners and internal teams against timeline and budget
Partner with x-functional teams - including above-the-line media, brand and digital creative, social, and design - to bring the partnerships to life in market
Own measurement and reporting on partnership performance
Partner with Market Research team to lead brand health reporting, including digesting and upleveling complex data into clear takeaways, developing actionable implications for teams and leaders, and making recommendations for continued evolution of the brand health tracker
BA/BS degree required
5+ years brand strategy, creative strategy, or brand management experience
A proven track record of translating qualitative and quantitative data into clear, usable frameworks and takeaways to inform strategy and decision-making
A proven track record managing partner or agency relationships against timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive a project from strategy through execution with minimal oversight

Preferred Skills

Culturally fluent, experience developing strategies that embed brands deeply into culture
Experience with brand health tracking/research synthesis
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making judgment calls without waiting for perfect information
