UKG Kronos Consultant

Position: UKG Kronos Consultant (Functional)

Location: Remote (On Demand Travel Needed)

Duration: Long term contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced UKG Kronos Functional Tester with strong hands-on experience in functional testing, validation, and QA of UKG/Kronos Workforce Management solutions. The ideal candidate should understand Kronos/UKG business processes, create and execute test scenarios, and work closely with functional and technical teams to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional testing of UKG/Kronos Workforce Management applications.
• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business requirements.
• Test Kronos/UKG modules including Time & Attendance, Workforce Scheduling, Absence Management, and related WFM functionality.
• Validate employee timecards, schedules, pay rules, accruals, overtime, exceptions, and attendance-related processes.
• Perform SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate integrations between UKG/Kronos and HR, Payroll, ERP, and other downstream/upstream systems.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Analyze functional defects and work with developers, business analysts, and Kronos functional teams toward resolution.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between Kronos and integrated systems.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing estimates and coverage recommendations.
• Support UAT coordination, defect triage, test status reporting, and production validation.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, traceability matrices, and execution reports.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with UKG/Kronos Workforce Management.
• Hands-on functional testing / QA experience.
• Strong understanding of Kronos Time & Attendance and Workforce Scheduling.
• Experience with test case creation, test execution, defect management, and regression testing.
• Experience with SIT, UAT, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of pay rules, overtime, accruals, timecards, schedules, and attendance policies.
• Experience testing HR/Payroll integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with UKG Pro WFM / UKG Workforce Central / Kronos Workforce Central.
• Knowledge of UKG Dimensions / UKG Ready.
• Experience with API, file-based, or middleware integrations.
• SQL knowledge for backend/data validation.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar testing tools.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
