Senior Business Analyst / Business Data Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong analytical, problem-solving, business process, and data analysis skills. The ideal candidate should be able to understand the bigger business picture, identify gaps in requirements, challenge assumptions, and work closely with business and technical stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

This role is less focused on pure development and more focused on business analysis, data-driven problem solving, requirements refinement, and solution definition.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business processes, workflows, and how technology solutions fit into the end-to-end business process.
• Analyze business requirements and identify gaps, inconsistencies, dependencies, and missing information.
• Perform detailed data analysis to validate requirements, assumptions, and expected business outcomes.
• Analyze downstream and upstream impacts of proposed changes across systems and business processes.
• Ask the right questions and challenge requirements when data, business logic, or process analysis indicates a different approach.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their actual needs rather than simply implementing documented requirements.
• Translate complex business problems into clear, practical, and actionable solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, data teams, architects, QA teams, and business users to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
• Create and refine business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Investigate issues by analyzing data, business rules, system behavior, and process workflows.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Anticipate potential issues and dependencies before they become implementation problems.
• Participate in solution discussions and provide recommendations based on data, business logic, and analytical reasoning.

• SQL/data querying experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working with reporting, databases, APIs, or enterprise applications is a plus.
