Position: Java Backend Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on Kubernetes.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of backend systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions).
• Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and asynchronous messaging.
• Understanding of containerization using Docker.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
