Backend Engineer with MCP (Model Context Protocol) - Open for C2C

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and event-driven APIs meeting enterprise standards for:
  • Scalability

  • Maintainability
• Design and manage API products and API gateways.
• Define API product structures, access models, rate limits, quotas, and volume plans.
• Configure API proxies, policies, routing, authentication, authorization, and traffic management.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs.
• Publish REST methods through Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Support the complete API lifecycle, including:
  • Design
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Publishing
  • Versioning
  • Promotion
  • Retirement
• Create, review, and maintain Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Implement API security using modern authentication and authorization mechanisms such as:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • JWT
  • API Keys
  • Scopes
• Support API consumer onboarding, including:
  • Application registration
  • Credentials
  • Subscription requests
  • API access troubleshooting
• Partner with application, provider, and consumer teams to support API onboarding and consumption.
• Define and enforce API governance standards and reusable API patterns.
• Monitor API traffic, performance, errors, and consumption trends.
• Troubleshoot API integration issues across lower and production environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Build, maintain, and optimize MCP servers.
