Job Description

Executive Assistant to Group CEO

We are working on behalf of a highly successful, fast-growing international business to appoint an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the Group CEO in a senior, high-profile role.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the heart of the organisation, providing proactive, trusted and comprehensive support across diary and inbox management, travel coordination, board and executive materials, events, and confidential projects.

This is a pivotal position within a complex and fast-moving organisation, supporting a commercially sharp and highly demanding CEO. The successful candidate will set the gold standard for EA capability and be seen as a critical enabler for both the CEO and the wider leadership team.

The role will suit an intellectually sharp and highly trusted EA who thrives in a demanding environment, is comfortable working at pace, and brings outstanding judgement, discretion and attention to detail.

Role Purpose

This senior EA role requires someone who can provide seamless executive support to a fast-paced Group CEO, helping to protect time, manage competing priorities, and ensure critical business activities move forward efficiently. You will be someone who can filter complexity, anticipate needs, and act as a trusted partner across diary, inbox, travel, stakeholder and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level diary and inbox management for the Group CEO.
  • Proactively control a heavily subscribed diary across multiple divisions.
  • Triage and prioritise competing requests from multiple directors and senior leaders.
  • Protect CEO time and ensure the right balance of strategic, operational and people commitments.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for senior leadership, board members and external partners.
  • Engage confidently with the senior management team and ExCo-level stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate complex travel itineraries.
  • Support and, where required, travel on 1–2 of the company’s six annual incentive trips, including on-the-ground logistics and group activities.
  • Filter, summarise and present information to the CEO in a concise, actionable way.
  • Anticipate needs, follow up on actions and keep critical initiatives moving at pace.
  • Handle highly sensitive information with complete discretion and sound judgement.
  • Exercise strong judgement on what to escalate, when to escalate it, and how to handle it.

Candidate Profile

  • A wealth of experience as an EA at Group CEO, Chair, ExCo or C-suite level.
  • Ideally from a PE-backed business or a complex multi-entity / international environment.
  • Fully committed to five days a week in the office.
  • Willing and able to travel on incentives and occasional business trips.
  • Living within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheshire.
