Executive Assistant to CEO – International Law Firm

London | Hybrid working

Salary: Competitive


A large international law firm is seeking an accomplished Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to its CEO.


This is a senior, high-trust role requiring exceptional judgement, discretion and organisational ability.


Candidates must have previous experience working within a UK or US law firm and must also have directly supported C-suite executives, such as a CEO, CFO, COO, CTO or equivalent.


Applications without both law firm and C-suite support experience will not be considered.


The role

You will act as a trusted partner to the CEO, ensuring that their time, priorities, communications and commitments are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a complex and frequently changing executive diary

• Coordinating meetings across multiple offices and time zones

• Managing inboxes, correspondence and competing priorities

• Preparing agendas, briefing papers and supporting documentation

• Coordinating executive leadership and committee meetings

• Arranging domestic and international travel

• Tracking actions, deadlines and follow-up activity

• Liaising with partners, board members, clients and senior external stakeholders

• Handling highly sensitive and confidential information

• Supporting strategic projects and firmwide initiatives


Essential experience

• Previous experience within a UK or US law firm is essential

• Direct experience supporting one or more C-suite executives is essential

• Experience supporting a CEO, Managing Partner or equivalent senior leader would be highly advantageous

• Exceptional diary, inbox and stakeholder management skills

• Strong written communication and document preparation abilities

• Excellent judgement and the confidence to manage priorities independently

• A calm, proactive and highly discreet working style

• The ability to anticipate requirements and resolve issues before they arise
