HR / Admin Coordinator

30,000 - 40,000 + Hybrid Working (3 Days Home) + Progression + Profit Share Scheme + Increasing Holiday Allowance + Pension + Bonus

Are you an HR Coordinator or similar from a Small-to-Medium size company, looking for a rare opportunity to take full HR ownership in newly formed position within the UK's leading Aquatic Engineering company, offering 3 days working from home and a progression pathway into Board-level Management?

This is a newly created position within an established and expanding specialist engineering business of around 65 employees. Reporting directly to the Director, you'll work closely with departmental managers across the entire business, taking ownership of day-to-day HR while helping shape how the function develops as the company continues to grow.

The company currently employs around 65 people and has continued to expand year-on-year. With HR responsibilities previously shared between directors and departmental managers, you'll step into a newly created position with genuine autonomy, the opportunity to improve existing processes and exceptional long-term progression, potentially building an HR team around you and progressing towards board level.

You'll have the opportunity to make the position your own, supporting the full employee lifecycle across contracts, onboarding, recruitment, appraisals, HR systems, policies and employee engagement

The Role:

  • Take ownership of day-to-day HR administration across the business
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts, remuneration letters and employment documentation
  • Manage employee records and HR information through BrightHR
  • Coordinate inductions, appraisals and recruitment activity
  • Maintain HR policies, company handbook and employment documentation
  • Support absence reporting and payroll administration
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
  • Hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home

The Person:

  • HR Manager, HR Coordinator, Senior HR Administrator or similar
  • Background within a small to medium-sized business essential
  • Comfortable operating autonomously as a standalone HR professional
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office
  • BrightHR experience and/or an HR qualification advantageous
