About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Procurement Specialist to join their growing team in Charlotte, NC. This permanent role is ideal for a procurement professional eager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier relationships, and make a tangible impact across various indirect spend categories. The successful candidate will work onsite four days per week and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Operations, IT, HR, Engineering, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing events (RFQ/RFP/RFI) for a variety of indirect categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Perform detailed spend analysis and conduct market benchmarking.
• Support commercial teams on client-facing RFPs, including developing pricing models and supplier cost breakdowns.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and secure optimal agreements.
• Oversee contract negotiations, including framework agreements and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Proactively manage supplier performance and drive cost savings/value creation initiatives.
• Foster productive relationships with key internal stakeholders, providing expert procurement guidance and challenging requirements when appropriate.
• Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Manage contract lifecycle documentation and mitigate supply chain risk.

Key Indirect Categories May Include:
MRO, Facilities Management, Fleet & Transportation Services, Professional Services, IT & Telecom, Packaging, and Consumables.
About You:

• Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related areas-ideally with exposure to indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success leading RFPs/RFQs, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in spend analysis and market research.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management abilities.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
