Agile project manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager with 10+ years of experience leading complex technology projects and cross-functional Agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile/Scrum delivery, project planning, stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, and enterprise software delivery.

The Agile Project Manager will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering, QA, Business Analysts, Architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects using Agile/Scrum and hybrid methodologies.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource plans.
• Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, priorities, and success criteria.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Data, and business functions.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and impediments, developing mitigation and escalation plans as required.
• Track project progress, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Manage product backlogs and coordinate prioritization with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into actionable epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones.
• Establish and maintain project governance, status reporting, RAID logs, dashboards, and executive communications.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement across Agile teams.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams, applications, vendors, and technology platforms.
• Support release planning, production readiness, UAT, implementation, and post-production activities.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues and remove organizational impediments affecting delivery.
• Ensure project documentation, decisions, requirements, and delivery artifacts are maintained in JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Monitor project KPIs and delivery metrics and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Support organizational adoption of Agile practices and contribute to Agile maturity initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Product Management, Business Analysis, or Agile Delivery.
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with project planning, risk management, issue management, dependency management, and change management.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience working with distributed and geographically diverse teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile/project management tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA/testing, release management, and production implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification.
• Experience with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing projects involving APIs, cloud platforms, data platforms, microservices, or application modernization.
• Experience working with Product Owners and Business Analysts on requirements, backlog management, and roadmap execution.
• Experience with executive dashboards, KPIs, and delivery reporting.
