Lead Engineer

Lead Engineer – FM Service Provider – Moorgate, London - £55,000 per annum CBW are working with a leading Facilities Management provider who are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to oversee engineering operations within a newly refurbished commercial building in Moorgate, Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with previous leadership experience to take responsibility for the day-to-day engineering delivery across a large, modern corporate environment.

The building offers premium office accommodation, extensive external terraces, landscaped communal areas and first-class occupier facilities, supported by modern, sustainability-focused building services. Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40-hour week) Key Responsibilities Act as the lead engineer on site, ensuring the efficient delivery of planned preventative and reactive maintenance<br />Provide day-to-day support and technical guidance to the on-site engineer<br />Coordinate and supervise specialist contractors carrying out maintenance and project works<br />Manage the permit-to-work system and review RAMS before works commence<br />Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health &amp; safety legislation and company procedures<br />Monitor service delivery through CAFM systems, ensuring maintenance records are accurate and up to dateCarry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across electrical and mechanical building services<br />Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, occupiers and key stakeholders<br />Support small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement<br />Assist the Account Manager with quotations, technical recommendations and contractor management<br />Monitor KPIs and SLAs, ensuring contractual obligations are consistently achieved<br />Carry out regular site inspections to maintain engineering standards and complianceRequirements City &amp; Guilds Level 2/3 (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent recognised qualification<br />Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Shift Leader or Senior Engineer within Facilities Management<br />Strong knowledge of commercial building services and M&amp;E maintenance<br />Experience overseeing subcontractors and ensuring site compliance<br />Familiarity with CAFM systems and maintenance reporting<br />Excellent communication and client-facing skills<br />A proactive, organised approach with strong technical and problem-solving abilities<br />Ability to work independently while supporting the wider contract team
