Network Protection Technician / Substation Commissioning Technician m/f/d | Coburg, Germany | Hybrid Are you passionate about driving the energy transition and shaping the future of energy infrastructure? This employer is seeking skilled technicians to deliver crucial new build and modernization projects for substations across Southern Germany. Join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting climate protection goals and ensuring the flow of green energy. The Role • Support new build and modernization projects for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV. • Perform commissioning tests to ensure the operational readiness of electrical installations. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Work with modern testing equipment to precisely commission digital protection and control technology. • Contribute to the energy transition by working on projects related to energy transmission, distribution, and renewable energy park connections. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven affinity and expertise in protection/control technology, with prior experience in commissioning switchgear. • Familiarity with communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Experience with parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, Schneider MICOM S1) and testing software (e.g., OMICROM TestUniverse) is a plus. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making and communication skills in German. • Possession of a valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel domestically (typically Monday-Thursday).
